The Tidster Turns 4.

Two years have quickly passed since this kid and her family joined us from across the pond. Two years, that somehow feel like not even six months and a lifetime at once...and it has been two years of pure fun! Two years that I have had to get to know this kid and all of her little quirks - like her absolute obsession with cheetah print, leggings, and the refusal to wear undies!

Little Miss Tilly is an adventure in and of herself, and she can spread a smile across even the poutiest of pouty faces. Along with being endowed with a wild sense of humor, she is brilliant. I mean...smart. Really s-m-a-r-t. So...loving the child as I do, I was honored to throw her a little birthday shin-dig to celebrate her 4th year.

After mulling for some time over what on earth the theme of this little bash was going to be, I finally decided on an "arty party". I mean I know I'm an artist and all, but what little girl wouldn't love to just play games and do crafts? Gladly, it turned out to be a huge success because her timid little friends kept coming to me and saying "this is a fun party!" and "can we do this again?!" (seriously!). So after a few well-spent hours of playing classic british party games like pass-the-parcel, musical statues, and pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, and getting our hands covered in decoupage, the party came to it's slightly bittersweet end. However, it pleases me to tell you that there was a pouty face to leave (there were a few at the start).

So, anyone who gets the pleasure of meeting my little Tidster is in for a real treat...but don't let the charming little accent fool you! ;)

Train Rides.

This summer has been filled with so many adventures mixed in with a busy schedule so I guess it's time for me to play a bit of catch-up with my blog posts. When your juggling a busy schedule and trying to stay on top of everything sometimes you just need to take a break and breathe. What better way to do just that than a scenic train ride with your best pals? So, that is exactly what we did. I love these girls more than anything in the world, each of them are like sisters to me. We've all been so busy between graduations, studies and jobs that when we all get the chance to take a few days to hang out and relax together it is seriously a miracle. We are like the "four" muskateers or something. I wouldn't trade them for the world. Love my babes and miss them all so much. Also, this train ride was the funnest.
